Happiness Workshops in May and June in Vermont, Maine, and New Jersey


Especially the science of happiness!  It also makes me happy to share this science with you! Here are four upcoming workshops where I can teach you some of what I have learned from positive psychology researchers:

“Strengths-Based Happiness”, May 3rd, 5:30-7:30 PM, $8 for members & $10 for non-members, Hunger Mountain Coop, Montpelier, Vermont

  • The pioneering positive psychology researchers spent a lot of time focusing on signature strengths, and universally-admired virtues and strengths, as a key to our greater well-being and flourishing.  This workshop has gotten unanimously positive review thus far. You will find it to be fun, insightful — maybe even transformative!

Meditating for Happiness,”  June 2nd, 5:30-7:30 PM, $8 for members & $10 for non-members, Hunger Mountain Coop, Montpelier, Vermont

  • Having a regular meditation practice is just about the bet thing anyone of us can do for our own happiness, as well as having greater compassion and making better decisions for the greater world around us. The good news is, there are hundreds of ways anyone can do this, regardless of your religion, busy lifestyle or active mind. I’ll share a variety of methods so you can find one or two you like.

“Self-Care Tools in Stressful Times,” June 24, 9:00 – 11:00 AM, Details TBA, in either Ellsworth or Bar Harbor, Maine

  • During this tumultuous time, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, distressed, angry, sad, and a little lost.  Fortunately, positive psychology and the science of happiness have a treasure trove of tools and strategies proven to help us feel better, thrive, and be more resilient when life gets challenging.  During this two hour workshop, you will learn and practice a variety of methods to feel better, find more joy, and contribute to the greater well being of others.

“Get Happier with Science: Positive Psychology and YOU,” June 29, evening, Details  TBA, Watchung Library, Watchung, New Jersey

  • The science of happiness offers us a treasure trove of tools and strategies to feel more joy in our lives, to be more successful, resilient, creative, optimistic, and better liked. Even better, through the teachings of positive psychology, we can be more effective in whatever we do to make the world around us a little bit better. This workshop will be fun, informative, and inspiring.

Ginny Sassaman is a co-founder and currently president of Gross National Happiness USA, the creator of the Happiness Paradigm, and a participant in the Happiness Walk. She has been leading happiness workshops and classes since 2010. Ginny has an M.S. in mediation and facilitation, and a Certificate in Positive Psychology.
