Meditating for Happiness
The science on the many ways a regular meditation practice can improve the quality of your life — as well as the lives of those with whom you live and work — is amazing and compelling. From literally changing the shape of our brains in ways that increase compassion and decrease stress, to better sleep, less anxiety, more creativity, clearer decision making, and generally enhanced enjoyment of life — meditation is an awesome, awesome tool we can call all master.
That is why I offer meditation classes and workshops: to teach you practical, supported-by-science meditation and mindfulness tools you can begin using immediately.
Here’s how one recent student described one of my secular meditation workshops:
“Thank you for yesterday’s session! 😦 You were very engaging and had a wonderful energy! The love you have for meditation spread through the room with a shining aura. Your voice and techniques were very soothing. Your speech touched me and gave me the tools to start my own meditation practice 🙂 “
— ONGOING GROUP MEDITATION SESSIONS, starting Tuesday October 4th, 5:30 – 6:30 at The Health Center in Plainfield, Vermont. Open to the public. There are hundreds of ways to meditate — the hard part is simply making ourselves do it. The support of an ongoing weekly group can be very helpful in encouraging each of us to deepen our own practices and create greater well being for ourselves. Each week, we’ll try various practices, lightly guided, to meet the needs of both beginners and experienced meditators. Cost: suggested donation of $5 to $10 per class, or $40 upfront for 8 weeks. Everyone is welcome. To register, contact Jenna Corneille: firstname.lastname@example.org, or email me directly at: HappinessParadigm@gmail.com
